BRIDALS

We went to Portland, Oregon for our bridals. Technically, where we shot was Washington...but either way. It was SO beautiful. It rained most of our trip (as expected) which was kind of a bummer but it was so green and pretty; I couldn't even believe it was real!

So, I got my dress custom made...and I picked it up ON the way to the airport to head to Oregon. The last time I had tried it on was about a week prior and there were lots of adjustments and changes that had taken place since then. I was supposed to do a final fitting but there just wasn't time, so I put it in my suitcase and hoped for the best.

When we got to our Airbnb in Oregon, I tried my dress on and it was not long enough....It was supposed to lay on the ground, and have a little train but it was probably 2 inches from even touching the ground when I was barefoot. I was SO STRESSED, because we had come all this way, and my wedding dress was looking like a midi dress!!!!! Luckily, I have an angel mom. and an angel friend (Tyson) and an angel husband who were all super calm during the whole situation and said we would find a way to make it work.

So, the next morning we went to a fabric store, bought some lace, and my mom hand stitched it to the bottom of the dress. (she is an angel, for real). It ended up looking amaaaazing! So grateful. I remember saying "Oh my gosh mom, what would we have done without you?!" and Tyson said "I would have done it, duh." haha the thing is he totally would have because he is such a trooper.

The next day we took bridals. First, at this amazing abandoned, overgrown roofless home in the woods. Then at an awesome waterfall! The rain wasn't too much of an issue at the first location, and even at the waterfall wasn't too terrible. I had expected worse honestly! Also, no i didn't hike to that waterfall in my dress. It was about a mile hike. I was wearing sweats and a jacket with a hood to not mess up my hair and makeup. Leif was hiking in his suit and dress shoes carrying a bunch of stuff. My mom had an umbrella and backpack on with my wedding dress in it and Tyson was holding all of his camera equipment. Everyone on the trails passing us looked pretty confused. haha

The picture taking went pretty smoothly except the part where Tyson slipped on a rock and fell ON HIS FACE. No joke, straight up on his face. He got up and just laughed...he kills me.

I am obsessed with how the photos turned out. I can't wait to print them all into a book, and get prints for our future home! I love them so much. Also, HUGE thanks to everyone involved in making our bridal session a success. I had the most awesome team.
