WEDDING DAY
March 26, 2016 Leif and I were married in the Gilbert, AZ Temple. It really was perfect. I have always heard that your wedding day is the best but most stressful day. For me, I seriously did not feel an ounce of stress; I was just SO excited and happy.
All my bridesmaids came to get ready with me, which was a blast. My talented cousin, Brooke did my makeup and I got my hair done by Chrissy-she is amazing. Leif and I wrote each other notes to open, so I read his (which made me cry), then headed to the temple.
We got married at 9:45 AM. I was pretty emotional through the whole thing just cause I was so happy. Then we came out and were greeted by our closest friends and family. People had flown in from all over, and it was so fun to see everyone! We snapped a few pictures, then headed for our luncheon. Leif's mom put everything for our lunch together and it turned out so awesome. It was a backyard lunch-there was a taco truck and the decor was the cutest! A few of our best friends and family members spoke and told funny stories. Our siblings all got us funny gifts that had stories behind them. (A Panda Express gift card so we could recreate our first date, an alarm clock because Leif is the heaviest sleeper ever, etc).
Our reception was that evening at 7 PM. We had our immediate family, as well as bridal party come an hour early to snap a few photos against this rad pink wall outside of our venue. Tyson also snapped some photos of our venue all set up before everyone arrived. My parents, and a bunch of my mom's friends spent hours and hours setting everything up for our reception, so I'm really happy we got pictures of all the details. I wanted things pretty simple and natural, so we just did wood tables and benches with eucalyptus and candles running down them. The food looked ahhhmazing. Leif and I actually never even got a chance to eat any of it, but I heard it was excellent!
We kept our invite list fairly small, because I wanted our wedding to be a little more intimate. That being said, we had the best turn out!! It was so crazy to me that everyone was there for US; that it was our celebration. Every detail came together so perfectly. After we drove away I just kept looking at Leif and saying "That was so perfect!!! I can't get over it!" It was a day I will never forget. We have the best family, and the best friends.
