Hey everyone!! This is my first blog post of 2018!! Woohoo! If you watched my New Years Goals video, you know one of the things I am working on is posting on my blog more often. I really neglected my blog in 2017 so this year I'm bringing it back. :)

I am a pretty "plain" person. I am most often found in a sweater and jeans but I also love fashion and getting dolled up! I have been getting more dressed up a few times a week for date nights or meeting up with friends and it makes me feel so good to spend time getting ready and putting together a fun outfit! I wanted to share a few cute, "dressier" outfits that I have been wearing lately. First up is this pretty high-neck velvet dress. It is super comfortable, and I looove the color. I paired it with these sparkly tights to give it some pizazz (and also because I am extreeeemely pasty right now haha) and this fun rhinestone bag. This outfit is perfect for really any date night but would also be a cute Valentine's look!

Next, is this all black look with this amazing gold jacket to complete everything. You guuuuys, everywhere that I have gone wearing this jacket, I have gotten SO many compliments on it. It is such a showstopper! If you are looking to fly under the radar, you can do without the jacket and just stick to the plain black. I LOVE black pieces because they match with everything. I can't tell you how many times I have worn this high neck black top, and these boots!! They are two of my staple winter pieces.

Side note: Leif and I love going to arcades for date nights. We both get competitive and hate losing. Leif will try again and again until he gets the bonus to earn tickets. It's a good thing we don't gamble because we would probably lose lots of money! haha

I hope you guys are having a wonderful start to your week! I wanted to share a quick quote that I read today and loved:

"Going for excellence is motivating. Going for perfection is setting yourself up for pain-because perfection does not exist." -Karen Salmansohn

Love that!^ I would consider myself a perfectionist, but I really want to strive for excellence instead! I'm implementing this principle into this week. :) Love you guys!
