Splurge-Worthy Gift Guide
Hiiiiii everyone! As i was preparing gift guides this year, i was thinking of different types of guides/wishlists I would want to see and *ding ding ding* I thought of this: a Splurge-worthy/investment Christmas list.
This year I have been focusing on quality > quantity and it has made my life so much simpler. A few months ago I looked in my closet, saw so many different colors and patterns and felt so overwhelmed and unsatisfied. I didn’t even like half of the clothes in there, I wasn’t excited to wear a lot of them and didn’t feel an ounce of *joy* when i touched them (hi marie kondo). so i did a MAJOR closet clean out. I got rid of over 15 trash bags of belongings and i felt AMAZING afterwards. my closet was color coordinated with only the pieces i absolutely loved. Yes, i will still buy fun colorful items of clothing here and there but really, i love having a bunch of neutral staples that will last me a long time.
That brings me to this blog post. I picked out about 35 items that are splurge-worthy investments that I think you will love. Clothing items, technology, skincare, designer bags and more. I 100% understand being on a tight budget and by no means are these items necessities. But they are items I think will enhance your life and last a very long time.
LET’S GET INTO IT.
Dyson Blow Dryer. Yes it really is amazing. It dries my hair SO fast, and has so many amazing attachments. I have had this for over 2 years and absolutely love it.
Jennifer Fisher Hoops. These are my every day gold hoops that I wear (yes u read that right) every day. They go with everything, whether you are wearing sweats or a fancy dress. They are so lightweight so they don’t hurt my ears at all. I have the Mini Samira hoops and have been eyeing the Baby Jamma pair too. Linking some more options on the gallery at the end of this post!
Barefoot Dreams blanket. A CLOUD. (the Kardashians use this blanket-it’s all u need to know)
Barefoot Dreams robe (the rover version of the blanket-I NEED)
Theragun. Amazing for sore muscles, and has a ton of health benefits.
Tata Harper eye cream. haven’t personally used this but heard it is amazing!! it’s on my list.
Vitamix. Love this blender and use it to make smoothies almost every morning. Long lasting and works like a CHARM. Great investment.
Bose Headphones. Love these noise cancelling over the ear headphones! I bring them on all my travels.
Airpods Pro. I use my AirPods every single day-for the gym, for listening to podcasts while I clean, or talking on the phone so I can leave my phone in my pocket and talk with my hands free. They are so handy/useful. I don’t have the newest version but have heard that the Pro version is more noise cancelling + fits into the ear better!
Silk Pillowcase. Great for your skin + hair and is so soft and comfortable. This brand is great and has beautiful packaging.
My favorite high waisted jeans. I wear these nonnnnn stop.
Designer Bags. Let’s talk about them. TBH never really understood the hype until I bought my black (used) Chanel bag and started using it every day. It is high quality, classy, neutral and is one of my go-to bags. If you find the right designer bag for you, you will DEFINITELY get your use out of it plus it will last you a lifetime! The Real Real is one of my absolute favorite places to go for used luxury items! Their stuff is the best of the best, and yes it may still be pricey but everything I have ever gotten from them has been incredible quality (plus it is discounted because it is used). I linked a bunch of neutral, beautiful bags in the gallery below. Reminder that there is only ONE of each thing I’m linking because they are unique, used pieces. So if you see something you want, jump on it.
Canon Vlog camera. This is for someone in your life who is looking to start up a YouTube channel or just wants to have a small camera they can take around with them to snap photos and videos! I personally have the Canon M6 but am actually looking to switch cameras because there are a few things I wish were different! The CAnonG7X that I linked at the beginning is an amazing beginner camera and I actually know a lot of Youtubers who still use it! It is a great camera.
-here is a link to the mini tripod I have! Its affordable and I would definitely recommend it for vlogging. It makes it easy to get a steady shot while you are walking and you can set it on different surfaces if you want to record hands free!
iPad Pro. Absolutely love my iPad and use it all the time. I bring it to podcast recording sessions with my notes on it and love it for downloading movies onto for long flights!
MacBook Pro. MacBooks stand the test of time and are by far the best laptops I’ve ever used. I have a 15” because I edit a lot of photos + videos on mine, but if you don’t need it for editing I think the 13” are great!
Hope you guys enjoyed this list and found it helpful!! A few more items are linked in addition below. :) Happy Holidays and thank you all for your continual support! xx
