BIG ISLAND-HAWAII

At the end of January, Leif and I took a trip to the Big Island to visit Leif's dad (my soon to be father in law). Him and his wife own a macadamia nut/coffee farm and have the most amazing property.

We were there a week and spent some of our days relaxing on the beach, and our other days exploring! My favorite adventure we went on was the White Road Hike. I had seen pictures online of this amazing water slide hidden in the middle of the jungle and we were determined to go.  We had to hike through these pitch black underground tunnels filled with knee deep water and all we had was our phone flashlight. haha definitely not prepared....but we laughed pretty much the whole time and it was so so fun. When we finally got to the water slide we were freaking out about how cool it was. I broke my hand a few months back and it was still super sensitive so I couldn't go down it, but Leif did! The whole hike in general was beyond beautiful. If you are down for a little adventure, I would definitely recommend it!
